Hello, My boyfriend is here on an expired visa, we want to get married for love and for his greencard, will that be a problem? If its not a problem what forms do we have to fill out
Optional Information: brookly, New YorkAlready Tried: were waiting to get married
Assuming your boyfriend entered with a valid visa, you can petition for his green card following your marriage. Be sure that once you are married that you start gathering joint documentation (i.e. bills, banks accounts, mortgage/lease statements, etc) so that you can prove the bona fides of your marriage in his adjustment of status interview.
The following is a list of forms you will need to fill out for this application:
G-325 (for both you and he)
I-131 (if he has not overstayed his visa by 180 days or more)
Be sure to supplement the application with all of the information requested in the instructions for each form (you can find them all at www.uscis.gov)
thanks for te help i really appreciate it, it helped alot
Your welcome. Good luck with everything!
