DTC B1495 BELT TENSION SENSOR (BTS) DEFECT

DTC DESCRIPTION
The passenger occupant detecting system consists of the SRSCM and the OC module. The SRSCM sets above DTCs if it detects short to battery line or short to ground between BTS and OC module.

DTC B1489 PASSENGER OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION (OC) ECU DEFECT

There was also a factory service bulletin for "SRS PODS ECU SOFTWARE UPDATE"

Applicable vehicle production range: April 19, 2006 ~ to July 7, 2008

.

Are you saying there is a software update to correct this?
Expert:  Jerry replied 3 months ago.

The software update surely won't help with the B1495 code, (BTS) and rather than assume the update won't help with the OC ECU, that would normally be the first thing that is required by a dealer tech before any other testing for that particular code. Thanks
