Just looking for the method of adjusting the parking brake

Customer Question

Just looking for the method of adjusting the parking brake for a 2012 i45. Currently the pedal goes to the floor but will not hold the car on an incline.
JA: Have your brakes ever been replaced? Have you checked the brake fluid?
Customer: Have just had new brake pads put on the car. Brake fluid is good and brakes work as normal but parking brake is weak
JA: What is the model of your '12 Hyundai?
Customer: i45
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It is on my sons car and I noticed the weak parking brake when I drove ot last night. I was going to attempt the adjustment myself if it was not too difficult. I am not a mechanic but have done lots of car repairs over the years.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
