Trunk latch won't work. Remote or manual
JA: Have you tried silicone spray or WD-40?
Customer: No. Could something have jammed in metal latch? No sound, click or otherwise is heard
JA: What is the model/year of your Hyundai?
Customer: 2012 azera
JA: Are you fixing your Azera yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Pushing down on trunk while pushing release on fob and manual button

You may have a handful of things going on. The problem could be a mechanical failure of the latch, an electrical failure with the release solenoid or it's control circuit. It's also definitely possible that something foreign was closed in the trunk or the latch itself and is preventing it from opening easily.

Do you hear any noise from the trunk when pressing the electric release?
