Battery died had to get a new battery but now I can't listen

Customer Question

Battery died had to get a new battery but now I can't listen to my radio because I have no code and the car didn't come with a booklet
JA: Has the battery been recently disconnected? Have you checked the manual or the glove box for the radio code?
Customer: Yes it has and yes no manual
JA: What is the model/year of your Hyundai?
Customer: Elantra 2004
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I went to a professional mechanic and he said he needs the radio code
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No everything else is fine with the car

if that radio has an anti theft built into it , the n yes that's the only way you can get it to work again is with the code or have it removed and sent into the dealer so they may send it back to the manufacturer to have it reset. We have run into that a few times and unfortunately that's how they are designed.hope this helps and good luck.
