Hello, is this automatic or manual climate control?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Automatic

Alright, does the control unit light up and the screen work or is it just blank?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
No/ but I can hear the a/c trying to work
Expert:  Andrew Martin replied 9 months ago.

Ok, check fuses 9 & 12 in the inside fuse panel on the driver side. If those fuses are good, you most likely have a bad control head. I have attached a picture to help you find the fuses.

All fuses are all good
Expert:  Andrew Martin replied 9 months ago.

If the fuses are good, and the controls do not work you will need to replace the control head.

Why do I hear the a/c trying to kick in??
Expert:  Andrew Martin replied 9 months ago.

Just because some components are working or trying to work doesn't mean that they are working properly. If there are internal issues with the control head which it sounds like there are, it can be trying to turn on other systems but not under your control or even the right system.

Ok what dose the control head look like? And how can I fix it
Expert:  Andrew Martin replied 9 months ago.

Its the part with the buttons that control everything. You need to replace it with a new one.

Wow on parts and lador how expensive is that going to be?and can I do it myself?
Expert:  Andrew Martin replied 9 months ago.

Usually the controls are a few hundred, with labor I would say $400. Its not something that someone who doesn't have experience should try as you have to remove quite a few things
