I have a 1996 Hyundai Sonata and the drivers side front door

Customer Question

I have a 1996 Hyundai Sonata and the drivers side front door will not lock or even stay closed. I have had no luck with my mechanic finding the part, now he tells me if I can find the part he'll fix it. Can you help?

Hi. SOunds like you need the drivers door latch to be replaced. Is this the part that you can not locate?

Have you tried getting one from the Hyundai dealer?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I thought that I had found this part last week through huntingforparts.com,but now they say they don't have it

No

Ok. You could try the dealer. But I did check on a site I use a lot, car-part.com. I searched your vehicle and several auto wholesalers show they have the LF door latch.

I researched that last week and it said they didn't have the part. I also checked eBay, Amazon, autopartsfair, idcarid, autopartswarehouse, advance, O'Reilly, pepboys, etc. I will check the site again.

Ok. when searching carpart select Latches for part. and do not enter your zip code

Carpart.com responded, this is not a part we have access to, contact your local wholesale dealer. So, I guess that's my next step.

First of all carparts.com and car-part.com are two different web sites. CLick on the link I gave you. I show people have it in stock. Also you can check local junk yards or car recyclers in your area that may have it as well.
