Customer Question

My son owns a 2008 Santa Fe. He had a dead battery and replaced it, however he hooked up the battery in reverse. The car runs ok but nothing else works [air, windows, lights, radio]. He and I are at a loss as to where to look. He says he has checked the fuses and didn't find any blown [visual only]. What should he do?

I would start by disconnecting both battery cables and clamp or hold them together while an assistant cycles the key all the way to start do it twice and then back to off now hook up the positive first then negative. This will force a reboot of the computer and all modules. If that doesn't get you going were going to need a voltmeter
