2005 Elantra GT.Trunk will not unlock

When you say the trunk won't unlock, will it open at all from the inside?

The trunk is controlled by a relay on this model:

1. The trunk lid relay is in the trunk on the left side near the rear of the wheel well. The White(W) wire should have battery voltage on it at two pins of the relay, this power comes from a 10 amp fuse labeled T/OPEN in the engine room junction box. The other two wires at the relay are Brown (Br) which goes to the actuator and Yellow/Black (Y/B) which goes to the BCM. Grounding this Y/B wire should energize the relay and send power out on the Brown (Br) wire to the lid actuator. The BCM grounds the Yellow/Black (Y/B) control wire at pin 2 when it sees an input at pin 6 Brown (Br) from the trunk opener switch. The trunk opener grounds this wire for a signal to the BCM.

Will you be trying to check the circuit yourself?

The document I attached shows how to test an inspect the latch and switch. It starts with the doors and then the trunk parts are towards the bottom of the document.
