I have a 2008 Santa Fe Limited AWD that makes a squealing

Customer Question

I have a 2008 Santa Fe Limited AWD that makes a squealing noise when the engine is running, moving or not. It increases in pitch as the RPMs climb. Any ideas?

Most likely it is a fan belt idler pulley that needs replaced. If you look at the fan belt, it wraps around all of the devices like the alternator, water pump AC, one point it will go around a pulley that isnt connected to any device, its there to make room for the belt to go around the other devices. Thats The Idler pulley.
