Check for air intake leaks, vacuum leaks and repair as needed. If ok, check for breaks, chafing or loose wires at the MAP sensor. If ok replace the MAP sensor

car came to me with light on and new sensor already in it. no leaks. smoked the intake. nothing. wires and connections fine.

HI,
Rare that it happens, but occasionally the TP sensor will set this MAP sensor fault. Check TP sensor operation and replace if needed. If ok, and you are sure of the wiring, then the only remaining cause is the ecm
