How far did the water go up and the engine is vapor locked!
The water was probably up to the door sills. When I went back in to see if it would start I did not see any sign of water having gone into the cabin. Vapor lock is when water goes into the tail pipe?
That is right. Its a vacuum that when you start it use suction from the exhaust. Do not try and start you need to get your insurance company involved here. Also the last thing you want to do is try starting the car if there was water in the cabin The air bag may deploy and kill you! I have done a lot of flood vehicles. Across the country Please don't take any chances with this! I have heard of a some adjusters flipping the key and the air bag deployed and killed them be safe on this!

Ok. So just letting it sit and "dry out" will probably not work and it should be looked at by a mechanic or other expert. Would that be accurate? I don't think anything went into the cabin.
correct! This is a comprehensive coverage also so check your insurance and where ever you go do not be afraid to ask for a discount!
