Hello I will help you with your question,

Most of these have leaking evaporators and the temperature sensor in the evaporator is replaced at the same time.

Have you leak checked the system? If you have pull the drain tube off and check the drain hole for dye or use the sniffer in the hole to see if you can pick up the leak there.

If you can the evaporator is not hard to replace as the dash does NOT have to come out, be sure to install the thermistor probe in the new dimpled spot in the new evaporator.

Let me know how I can help you with this by telling me what has been done besides the compressor.

Do you have pressure readings? Was the system evacuated and filled by weight with the correct 625 grams of R134a

Was oil added to the system?

Let me know so I can help

Thank you

the system was evacuated and charged at the time the new compressor was installed. Yes oil was added and charged with R134a..this was about 8 mo ago...system hasn't worked like before since I replaced the compressor. Had to recharge system just 3 weeks ago, was a little cooler for about a week but now not so good. As I said the system hasn't really performed correctly since the compressor was changed.

Sounds like you have the evaporator leaking. It can be checked for leaks or just removed to look for oil stains. Be sure to get the thermistor from Hyundai so it gets replaced at the same time.

Let me know how I can help you with this

Thank you

If you purchase the evap from Hyundai you will have to purchase the thermistor separately. The thermistor is about $75 but while you have the evaporator out is the only time it can be replaced and they do fail causing the "cool but not cold" symptom that you are experiencing.

Please let me know what questions you have so I can help

Thank you
