2000 Sonata: oil light came..parked..lube/oil change place

Customer Question

The oil light came on in my Hyundai 2000 Sonata. I got home and parked it and turned it off as it was too late to go anywhere. A lube/oil change place is about one mile and a half away. Do you think the car will make it there in the morning? Thanks so much.

SuperDave :

If you check the oil and you can not see the oil level on the dipstick then I would not chance it.Put a least 1 quart in before you go.

It is only .77 miles away -- I am not sure how to put the oil in though. The dip stick did have oil on it.
