Hyundai Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello I will help you with your question,
There are what we call "slides and glides" inside the rails of your sunroof that will wear and break so that the roof no longer operates fully. To replace these the sunroof will have to be removed from the vehicle which means the headliner will have to be removed.
If you still have the crank handle in the glove compartment you can remove the lens from the overhead light and the screws from the light housing then crank the motor enough to get the sunroof closed. Unplug the motor until it can be repaired.
This is not a DIY repair as refitting the sunroof is tricky and without experience it will take several days to repair (My first one took 3 days)
