The brake lights on my wifes 2001 Hyundai Accent will not turn

This answer was rated:

The brake lights on my wifes 2001 Hyundai Accent will not turn off unless you disconnect the battery. The brake doesn't appear to be stuck on, car drives normally (at least backing out of the driveway) any suggestions? Even a bandaid for the problem would be acceptable for tonight. Thank you.
Hi there! It is most likely the brake light switch up under the dash. If you follow the brake pedal arm up under the dash, you will see the switch. Unplug the switch and see if the lights go out. If they do, then you need to replace the switch.
Hope this helps!
