Many contractors use a filter in a grille so you do not have to open unit.Let me grab a manual and see where you will put them if they are in unit.

hello, r u there?
Expert:  airheatman replied 3 months ago.

Thanks for your patience. Had to find manual and make you a drawing. Filters will be in panel as shown below

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
that we already found, but, how to we access the filter, it seems to be in a sealed compartment
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
we took off the panel, and we cannot see a filter or it is missing.
Expert:  airheatman replied 3 months ago.

There should be 4 screws that hold the panel on.Remove the screws and filters will be inside if there are any. That is why most contractors put them in a grille inside the house so you do not have to open the unit

Expert:  airheatman replied 3 months ago.

Do you have a filter inside house?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
we did that, but, there doesn't seem to be a place for a filter
Expert:  airheatman replied 3 months ago.

OK if you have no filter in that panel or in house you most likely have a dirty coil which is causing high limit to shut furnace off

Expert:  airheatman replied 3 months ago.

No return grille with a filter in house?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
there are filters in the house at the air vents
there does not seem to have a place to support a filter in the big monster unit. my other house has a clear space for a filter, this one does not
Expert:  airheatman replied 3 months ago.

OK that is not a problem .If you have filters in house you do not need in unit.

Was the filter dirty?
