Sounds like you may have a bd thermostat. Try this; turn off the power to the furnace then connect the thermostat leads that are connected to the R & W terminals together (be careful they don't touch anything else) then tuen the power back on. If the furnace responds and house heats up to more that 58 then you need a new thermostat
No tricks, you might be able to reset it (not that it's likely to help) if you can give me a model number I can see if the thermostat can be reset.
If you can remove the cover to the thermostat it may be inside under the cover.
Press the Mode button. While holding the Mode button in, press the Fan button for 5 sec. All icons will appear. Press and hold in the Fan button until Fd appears. This resets all factory settings. To return to normal operation, press the Mode button twice more
Then there's nothing more you can do other than what I suggested initially or try changing the thermostat.
It's a set up function toggle it back to where it started. I can only do so much from here. If you're not comfortable following my instructions then you'll need to get someone to help.
