Noise at shut down after heat cycle?
Only at shut down ? And does noise seem to be like a banging?
I am here.
I am a Rheem/Ruud dealer and am not familiar with a noise you should be hearing on shutdown
I would definitely notify installing contractor and makehim check this out.Do you by chance have a video you could upload .I might be able to recognize the noise as a revering valve swish or txv slamming shut.
The unit reversing valve energizes in heat mode so when it shuts down the reversing valve will switch but nothing loud enough to draw your attention.
You can go to link below to find a certified Rheem dealer in your town by entering your zip code.
IF you have it on Youtube send me a link. Or there should be an attach file icon on your page
I do not see a Rheem dealer near you by zip code.
You could try Ingrams and they should be able to help with onsite inspection and correcting issue.
My bad, Did a Google search for hvac contractors in your zip and it brought up iNgrams.
Best bet is going to be to look in phone book under heating contractors
Let me see if I can find it. Copy and post a link if you can
THanks.Give me a few minutes.
THat unit is louder than it should be even while running? Was this installed by a licensed contractor?
Sounds like possibly overcharged
Do you have ac gauges to check charge?
Tell me what pressures are reading in cool mode and what outside temp is
TXV metering device in outdoor unit
What do you mean no electronic?
OK I see. THen the electronic valve. Regardless of what type metering device you have , it controls the amount of refrigerant entering the coil
