Our emergency heat is on for no apparent reason.
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?
Customer: The Honeywell thermostat is set on heat, not emergency heat. I took the filter out completely.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If it is not complicated.

Is the het pump working also? If so your heat strips are most likely working as auxiliary to assist the heat mump.When thermostat gets within 3 degree of temp you ask for, the elements should cut out.
