Hi Lowell, I'm Brian and I'm here to help!

A true Carrier communicating Infinity thermostat can only be used with Carrier Infinity communicating equipment. The communication protocols and messages are Carrier proprietary. If you have the model number of the Carrier thermostat, I can give much more specific information about it.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks for that model number, the TX in the model number indicates it's a Carrier Infinity communicating thermostat and it can only be used with Carrier Infinity communicating furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and variable speed air handlers. These devices communicate over a Carrier proprietary two wire network.
