Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

ok, what is the temperature of the air blowing out the first register...and the temp of the air at the return grill..while ac is running..

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

How much would you say you put in on top of charge?

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
About 1 pound
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

ok,

I believe you may be actually overcharged.

I erealize you probably do not have the equipment...but if you did, we would want to remove that pound and let run 30 minutes and then check those same temps.

We want around 15 degree diff between the in and out...

Was everything precharged or just condenser?

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
Mbf said pre charge to 15 feet of line set
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

Ok,

Did the lines sweat or screw together to the indoor and outdoor unit?

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
Sweat and used vacuum pump down to 450 microns there is a hissing sound by the piston on indoor handle
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

hissing as it runs through the pipe or hissing as in a leak?

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
No leak as it runs through the pipe
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

is the small line hot/warm? and larger pipe cool?

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
Small line real cold large is room temperature
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

ok you have either overcharged...... or the metering device (piston, txv etc) is stuck or not installed right.

Did the air handler come with matching piston for outdoor unit (or txv)

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
Just one indoor unit will it work with out piston I can check piston but I spud have to pump back the r410 back in the compressor
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 21 days ago.

correct..you would close high side at condenser and pump everything back in. Then close the low side valve.

Inspect piston...right direction, size etc...reinstall, vacuum, release charge..

Customer: replied 21 days ago.
Ok I'll try that tomorrow it's dark outside. Thanks
