My furnace stopped running. There was a humming sound coming

Customer Question

my furnace stopped running. There was a humming sound coming from around the blower motor. The blower motor has been popping the little circuit breaker mounted on it. I could smell an odor like hot wiring. I removed the blower motor. A couple of the wires in the harness are slightly melted. Bad Motor?
JA: Did you check the furnace's filters?
Customer: Yes replaced it.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If I can.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: That would be a good question for you.
