Customer Question

My Carrier furnace model 58PAV070-12 has three burners on a manifold. When the unit is turned on, the first two burners come on, the third one doesn't, and the unit shuts off. What's up?!?
JA: Did you check the furnace's filters?
Customer: Yes.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If I can. I'm pretty good with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers!
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Not that I know of.

My name is Billy.

Do your burners look like the link HERE

My burners do not look like the burners in the picture.

According to the parts list you have the mono jet burner. The only other burner they used was a ribbon burner like this

If not like either of these I will need a pic as those are the 2 Carrier burners

Billy, when you sent the pictures, how do I respond to you, there are not any instructions to do so. The second picture appeared to be
what I have, attached to a three burner manifold.

These burners can easily be removed and cleaned.

Grasp burner, tilt front end up and slide burner should lift up and out..

Then tap out debris. Use a wire brush and clean edges....rub bristles across slots....

The reinstall burners...this should take care of the issues.

if you have the mono jet burners there are 1/4" screws you must remove and they also lift up. forward and out.
