Welcome to Just Answer, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you with your issue. First I’ll need some more info so I have a more complete picture of you situation.
Does this unit have a standing pilot (lit all the time)?
Give me a few more details.
1Are you looking for a gas valve
2.What is model on the unit?
Wow that sounds like a real oldie. Maybe an old GE?
Tell me about the valve.Has it been working with the 36C or where is that coming from?
I am showing the replacement for these old BLD furnaces as a VAL08898
Yes that furnace should have an ignition control, see below
Do you see the ignition box on the unit?
I do not know if you need either since I have not done troubleshooting. I am saying the furnace should already have the ignition control on it. If you have determined valve is your problem you should not need the module.New valve will work with your existing control.
Lookclosely at model and give it to me again. You posted Bld080f986b
The number folloing the f9 usually represents tons of ac it will accommodate (EX 24 =2 tons or 24K, 36= 3 tons or 36K etc)
the 86 does not devide aby 12 which a ton of ac is 12K
and you are sure that is an 86 and not 36?
Below are the units I see under Trane BLD series
