I have a single burner that doesn't want to light. My manual

Customer Question

I have a single burner that doesn't want to light. My manual reads that the burner ports might need cleaning, but it doesn't say/show what the ports are. It's 20 years old.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: Oh, several weeks, I guess.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I'm hoping to--save money. It does (so far) EVENTUALLY light. But it seems to be getting worse & I'm not long on patience. :)
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The one behind it doesn't work so great, either, but is some better.
