Are you able to do some troubleshooting. What is model number?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Ok. Let me get that
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Trane unit 4ycc3036a1075ab
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Thermostat is on heat setting 75. Inside home is 65. Says "on" but no fan blows any warm air.
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK can you open the service panel on unit and see if we have a control board with a flashing light? If o what is flash pattern?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I can do that
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I've got a flashing green light
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

What is pattern? how many blinks between pause or just a steady flash?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
No pattern. Just blink. Pause. Blink
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK do this. Touch the R and W terminal together where wires from thermostat hook to board. Juse a jumper or a pair of needle nose or anything.Tell me if the small vent fan comes on and hoe far in sequence unit will go.

It turned on
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK that tells us issue is not with unit but with not getting signal from thermostat. Lets replace batteries in thermostat if you haven't already.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
New batteries are in. But heat doesn't seem to be turning on
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I can turn the thermostat to fan. And it blows air. But nothing when on heat
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK lets do this. JUmp the red and white wires together at the thermostat just as we did in unit and see if it comes on.

Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

R and W

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
No it does not
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK but it did when you jumped R and W at furnace board, right?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK that means there has to be a break in the wire somewhere between the theromostat and unit.

Can you trace the wire and see if perhaps there is a splice somewhere and the white wire has come loose?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I'll do that
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

Also verify you did touch the wires themselves together R and W

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
There is some old wiring under there. Spliced with new wire. Since we have a newer unit. I didn't find any breaks in the line. Checked the splices and everything looks fine.
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

Do you have a meter to check continuity with?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I have a Milwaukee clamp meter. Never checked continuity with it before
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

Does it have leads?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I have meter and it is set to check continutity
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

Take R and W loose at either thermsoatat or unit and twist them together and go to the other end unit or thermostat and see if we have continuity

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
One step a head of you. I just did that. No continuity
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

OK has to be a break. You will either have to find it or run a new wire

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Ok. I will run a new wire to replace the old wire
Expert:  airheatman replied 6 months ago.

That should fix you up.
