There was a power surge today and Carrier Infinity Thermostat is not working. Is there a reset button or a procedure to get unit to work?
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: Believe it is thermostat but not certain. Thermostat does not light up.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: No.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No... AC Tech can not come today...

Hello, since the thermostat does not light up you need to use a multimeter to check for 24volt power to it at the thermostat terminal strip inside the furnace... tell me how many wires are attached and to what terminals

no reset button, power surges damage electronics, you can try removing the thermostat from its sub base however and if it a model in that series that has batteries... fit them in backwards, wait 5 minutes then reinsert them correctly.
