our gas forced air unit's blower turns on randomly at different times of the day and night for a couple of minutes when the thermostat is turned off. it just started happening a week ago. the unit and thermostat are 13 years old and have been checked out at least 3 times between now and then by a professional. last check up was two years ago. hardly ever use it here in santa barbara. any ideas? thanks!

hi i am dan i can help you with this. it may be the thermostat acting up. to check it remove the G wire from the circuit board at the furnace and see if it keeps happening after that
