Hello, first check the air filter, make sure it is clean or recently replaced.

Next go to the unit that sits outside, there are two copper tubes attached to it, the larger one is insulated in black foam rubber. Peel that back slightly and feel the copper tube when the system is running. It should be cool or sweating.

Let me know how those tests turn out, and tell me if your system is cooling or heating as it always has or if it is failing in some aspect.

When you say "when the system is running" do you just mean, "when it has power" because I have the system set to cool and it is not working

I just unplugged the face of the comfortnet device and then plugged it back in. It then found the furnace and the Air Conditioner and began working again. Please only have the $5.00 charged to my card as I do not believe that approx. $40 is a fair value for what was necessary.
