My display window is frozen and I have no way of changing

Customer Question

My display window is frozen and I have no way of changing time or temperatures. I replaced the batteries thinking that might be the issue but to no avail.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: I noticed it this morning.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If possible
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The unit for the thermostat was serviced 2 weeks ago and the tech said everything was working well
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: I have no idea

Its a thermostat problem most likely, 95% chance of that

You can pry the thermostat from its wall mounted sub base and read the brand and model number on the back of it,

Post that here and I will look up the manual on it and prescribe some tests.
