Are you referring to the auxiliary pan under the air handler? And have you tried blowing out drain line? Also check and tell me if outdoor unit comes on.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I am referring to the large pan under air handler that catches condensation fro air handler and lets it drain to exterior of house. The drain line is open . Yes..outdoor unit comes on.

1. Pan under unit should never have water in it.It is an overflow pan.

2.There should be a different drain connecting to the air handler that runs to a different location (usually with copper tubing)

3.Locate that drain and see if any water is coming out

There has always been water in pan. It drains out thru a pipe to exterior of house.

There should not be water in pan.Does water just drain out of the coil fitting into the pan?

Next question is the ac cooling and running?
