Have a Heil furnace it keeps blowing the 5 amp fuse in the AC mode. Any idea why?

Hello,

my name is Billy.

The biggest cause of this is the small wiring at the outdoor ac unit. There is bigger wire in conduit for 220v...and there is a thermostat wire from furnace to turn it off and on...this small wire can get chewed, weedwacked or damaged and cause shorts.

That is the case 90% of the time.
