Hello - I purchased a Honeywell th6220d1028 thermostat to replace an older version of the exact same model thinking I could just plug in the new one. When the new th6220d1028 I was surprised that the newer th6220d1028 has only 8 terminals not 9 as the older unit. I read that Aux & E were combined in the newer version, but I still can't seem to get the new one to work properly.

The thermostat comes default for gas furnace and ac....we need to tell it to control a heta pump.
