Lennox air conditioner not blowing cool air.... was blowing

Customer Question

Lennox air conditioner not blowing cool air.... was blowing cool air two days ago. Hot here. Not sure why, all of a sudden, it stopped cooling!
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?
Customer: Both good.... just turned off breakers to possibly reset.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: For now! It is Saturday night. Hoping for an easy fix before calling Lennox guy in town.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Puzzled why we can have have great cooling one day and none the next other than we ran the heat for 15 minutes one morning in between.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the HVAC Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

Is indoor and outdoor both coming on? And do you have a meter for troubleshooting?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Both blowers are on. What kind of meter do I need?
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Neither copper tube is cool to outside unit.

Multi meter. But fan on the outdoor is turning yes?

Expert:  airheatman replied 9 months ago.

We need a meter that reads voltage o troubleshoot.

. You can get an inexpensive one at Walmart for about 15 bucks if you would like to troubleshoot and I would be happy to guide you.

Open the service panel on unit and locate the contactor

Expert:  airheatman replied 9 months ago.

Check contactor for 230 volts between power wires coming into contactor and compressor wires coming off of contactors
