Is the outdoor ac unit coming on? If so feel of the lage copper lines between units and see if it is cold.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
the outdoor unit is on but I don't know what you mean by copper lines between units?
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Do you have both an indoor and outdoor unit(split system)? If so there will be two copper refrigerant pipes between indoor and outdoor units.Large line should be cold like a soda out of the fridge.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
just one unit
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

OK one self contained unit with ducts coming off of it?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I live in a two story home, outdoor unit and one unit upstairs
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Can you give me model on outdoor?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
copper line is cold
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Ok if copper line is cold we should be cooling. Do you have a thermometer to check difference in air going into return and blowing out registers? Should be 17 to 20 degree cooler coming out registers than going into unit.

Have you checked to make sure filter is clean? If copper line is cold we should be getting cool air inside unless maybe air flow is restricted causing low air flow

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
filters need to be changed, but would it make that big of a difference?
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Yes dirty filters can make a world of difference.Do you have good air flow at registers?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
great air flow
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Does air seem warm coming out of the unit outside?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
no from the air duct inside
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I guess ill have to call someone to come look at it
Expert:  airheatman replied 7 months ago.

Hmm should be cooling down if the air coming out top of outdoor is warm, copper suction line is cold and we have good air flow.I would say lets replace those filters and see if it helps. If not, maybe time for an onsite inspetion

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
thanks
