Customer Question

I have a baxi HT 380. Simply the heat comes on when I use the domestic hot water. I suspect the diverter valve or the motor??? associated with the valve. Im pretty handy and an electronics technician. Looking for some advice

It sounds like the divertor valve is stuck - do you get Luke warm water or cold?

It eventually gets hot but takes longer than normal

If the heat is creeping into the heating then the valve will be stuck lighlt open.
The problem is you can strip and clean the unit but it may not cure it and it does take quite a while to strip, clean and grease all the components - perhaps worthwhile changing the whole thing to start with.
