is this an existing thermostat not working or a new/relocate?

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

Thank you,

Is the new thermostat wired the same as old?

Does new thermostat have to be programmed in menu?

Or...what is make/model of the new thermostat?

Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.

We can fix this pretty quickly i believe

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I got nothing
Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.

Do you have the manual. We need to get into the actual settings of the termostat and change a few settings.

Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.

but we both need to be on at the same time and you in front on thermostat

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It is not programmable I have the manual
Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.

There is a service programming that needs to be done. Most likely your reversing valve or heat pump isn't set up in the thermostat correctly

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I ask how do you hook up a thermostat for a heat pump I know that because it is not working genius
Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.

And i believe that the ONLY problem is a programming problem. NOT a wiring problem, According to above you already wired it the same as the old!

Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.

You can have it hooked up right wrong it doesnt matter unless the thermostat actually knows there is a heat pump and it most likely doesnt

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I call climatemaster and they help they knew exactly what it was.
Expert:  Sean replied 8 months ago.
What was it ?
