Ok do you have a C wire providing voltage or are you relying on batteries? And have you replaced batteries?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok yes it has a c wire but the batteries were dead... Replaced the batteries and heater came on but thermostat continued clicking till I turned it off.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Attic unit came on for about 20sec
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

Have to step away from desk for just a bit.Be back shortly. Did you leave the wires together?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
just now separated
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Think I might have blown a fuse or something cause nothing happens when I touch those wires together
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

You did not let anything touch the blue C wire did you?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No not that I'm aware of
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

OK if fuse blew you have a short in control circuit somewhere.

Red 1s 24v power.

Connecting red to green should energize fan relay

Connecting red and yellow should energize contactor in outdoor unit.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
R&y connected nothing happens
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
R&g nothing
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

Perhaps a wire touched c while removing .Look in air handler a small 3 amp auto type fuse.

OK do you have a meter to check between R and C at thermostat for 24 volts?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Unfortunately no
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

You may have to get a meter next or call in a tech to see why we get nothing at thermostat

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok something happened because now it doesn't work even on emergency heat
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
A/c inop too
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Any techs you recommend in the Dallas area?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Because now there is no heat at all
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

Best bet is going to be to grab a phone book and look for local heating and ac contractors to find nearest one .I am not from the area so not familiar with local companies.
