Burner shuts down after a few seconds operating time.

Customer Question

Burner shuts down after a few seconds operating time. Furnace tries about 3 times to remain fired up. After third try it shuts blower off and some time later repeats the cycle. I guess my main concern is that I can't afford a rip-off service man. We just replaced the water heater under quotes of $1400 to $4500. Under the $1400 bid I was still charged about $300/hr to install.
If I knew exactly what is needing replaced the service peoples quotes will have to be more realistic wouldhope.

Very likely may just need to clean flame sensor. Can you look inside burner compartment and give me complete model and look on control board in blower compartment and tell me if we get a flashing light when it fails?
