The furnace igniter glows and lights the tube in front of it but when the flame flickers by the sensor the gas shuts itself off.

If burners are not lighting, issue is most likely dirty burners, a gas pressure issue or a bad gas valve.Lets start with burners.Have you removed and cleaned them?
