Customer Question

We have a hunter thermostat and the battery died. I put in new batteries, but it says shutdown and displays the battery life. However the heat won't turn back on. What do I need to do

Hello,

Put the new batteries in *backwards, let the thermostat sit for 5 minutes, then remove and replace the batteries in the proper position. That has about a 30% chance of solving the problem.

Tell me about how old the thermostat is please.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm not sure how old it is.
Expert:  Phil replied 1 year ago.

Tell me please if this looks like the manual for it, and a bit about your technical skills so that I can coach you most effectively,

That looks like the manual for it. I am pretty technical, so I should be able to follow along.

Pry the front of the thermostat from its sub base that is screwed to the wall and tell me what color wires attach which letter'd terminals.

Jumper R to G tell me if the furnace blower comes on or not.

Found a wire that came out. Working again. Thank you
