Are you in heat mode or AUTO? DO you want a set temp all the time or are you trying to program it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
its in auto, and would like to set temp when Want to.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's in heat mode and auto. Normally, I turn on auto and adjust temp when I want heater on.
Expert:  Rick replied 1 year ago.

Press the up or down arrows to set the temp where you want then press HOLD and the thermostat will maintain that temp. If you just adjust the temp up or down this will only provide a temporary hold for 4 hours

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I've done that. Its still shows hold at 45. I can press and hold the up arrow without any change.

Is there a padlock icon on the display?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, nothing showing. I'm aware of that to.

Then the thermostat is malfunctioning and will probably have to be replaced. But there is a rest function. Try that first. I'll be back in a few with instructions

Expert:  Rick replied 1 year ago.

To reset remove the thermostat from the wall and remove the batteries for 2 minutes then put them back in and put the thermostat back on the back plate. If that doesn't work then you'll need a new one

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I've tried that already.
Expert:  Rick replied 1 year ago.

Then you need a new thermostat.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Unfortunately, your advice didn't get me anywhere.Basically. a waste of money.
Expert:  Rick replied 1 year ago.

I can't fix your thermostat if it's broken no one can. If you want a refund contact customer service
