Heat pump system. Vents feel cool....compressor kicks on

Customer Question

Heat pump system. Vents feel cool....compressor kicks on outside...but fan never kicks on to blow air. Any harm in flipping breakers on condenser and air handler off for 10 minutes. .then back on to kind of reboot the whole shebang?

Hello again,

There is no harm in resetting the breakers, especially if you wait at least 2 minutes before turning them back on.

The problem however is most likely a bad fan motor or printed circuit card.

Honeywell is a thermostat brand.

Your furnace will be some other brand. Tell me a lot about your skill sets and if you want coaching on diagnosis and repairs, or a reference to a well rated service outfit in your area.

We can go from there.
