hello,

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir that is correct.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the status red light flashes a single time... I've reviewed your response of tracking it down to the circuit board is that what I should do?
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

are you comfortable with jumping a couple wires?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir... I've been testing the relays with a volt meter will that work as well?
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

yes if you are confident with the meter...we want to see if the motor gets 120v but doesnt run (motor)...or does not get 120v (circuit board)

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok what wires will I need to check
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

the wires will come from the motor and attach to board..I would need model number to be specific..but usually labeled HEAT and COOL

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Here on some pictures to maybe help.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

on the circuit board...do you see a terminal marked HEAT

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What do you believe the problem is?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir it has an orange wire on it.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

well after you pic...I see the unit is not original..the blower has been changed with a different type/style.

is the fan board in the top section? or can you post pic of top section?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir here it is.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

Thank you...is the orange wire attached to bottom of board on HEAT terminal?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

pull the orange wire...start furnace..test the HEAT terminal and see if it ever gets 120v.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

make sure the safety door switch is taped down also..

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir 120 coming off heat terminal
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

Thank you,

You have a bad blower motor. The board is sending 120v...the orange wire carries it to the motor....but the motor is defective.

Looks like another motor is due.

Billy

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Damn... Pricey? Hard to install?
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

about $175...not bad to install...takes maybe 1/2 hr to 45 min.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Changed motor still not blowing....
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

what color motor wire is on heat terminal?

was wiring exactly the same?

does new motor have a capacitor?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the motor had the same wires not sure on a capacitor
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

what motor number is ***** new one? and does heat terminal on the circuit board still have 120v during heat cycle?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's a direct drive furnace blower 1075/3 speed 10.2 amp draw 1/2 hp 115 vac
Wg840587
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
120
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

is there 2 brown wires from new motor?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sir and I got a new thing that they attach to
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

so the blower HEAT terminal on the circuit board has 120v and a blower wire attached to it.

the motor is new and capacitor is new.

but motor does not run even with the heat terminal 120v?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Us new motor new compacitor and 120 coming off of the board with a wire attached to it which runs to a block of five wires which two are just taped up and comes out with 5 going to the motor where four attach to the motor and one is just taped up
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
But when I turn Ac on the motor runs
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

can you take a pic and post of the wiring...especially the heat terminal wiring and all the way to motor

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

Thank you.

coming from thee motor..is there a blue wire?

And if so is it continuous to the board?

And can you plug the blue wire on the HEAT terminal?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
there's a blue wire once it comes up its not attached to anything
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

ok...make sure the blue wire comes direct from motor and connects on through the plug to another wire...and eventually to the circuit board...lets put that on HEAT terminal and try a cycle

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the fan is blowing
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.

This is just a different speed than orange. Is there a hot spot, burned wire, is the wire continuous to motor?

You can operate just great with the blue wire there..I am just curious as to why the orange wire is not getting power to motor
