does the burner light...but blower never activates and the burner eventually shuts down?
are you comfortable with jumping a couple wires?
yes if you are confident with the meter...we want to see if the motor gets 120v but doesnt run (motor)...or does not get 120v (circuit board)
the wires will come from the motor and attach to board..I would need model number to be specific..but usually labeled HEAT and COOL
this unit comes 2 different ways...does your blower motor have 5 wires or a lot more?
well we can go through testing...but I already can tell you what the issue is with 99% certainty
on the circuit board...do you see a terminal marked HEAT
well after you pic...I see the unit is not original..the blower has been changed with a different type/style.
is the fan board in the top section? or can you post pic of top section?
Thank you...is the orange wire attached to bottom of board on HEAT terminal?
pull the orange wire...start furnace..test the HEAT terminal and see if it ever gets 120v.
make sure the safety door switch is taped down also..
You have a bad blower motor. The board is sending 120v...the orange wire carries it to the motor....but the motor is defective.
Looks like another motor is due.
about $175...not bad to install...takes maybe 1/2 hr to 45 min.
what color motor wire is on heat terminal?
was wiring exactly the same?
does new motor have a capacitor?
what motor number is ***** new one? and does heat terminal on the circuit board still have 120v during heat cycle?
is there 2 brown wires from new motor?
so the blower HEAT terminal on the circuit board has 120v and a blower wire attached to it.
the motor is new and capacitor is new.
but motor does not run even with the heat terminal 120v?
can you take a pic and post of the wiring...especially the heat terminal wiring and all the way to motor
coming from thee motor..is there a blue wire?
And if so is it continuous to the board?
And can you plug the blue wire on the HEAT terminal?
ok...make sure the blue wire comes direct from motor and connects on through the plug to another wire...and eventually to the circuit board...lets put that on HEAT terminal and try a cycle
This is just a different speed than orange. Is there a hot spot, burned wire, is the wire continuous to motor?
You can operate just great with the blue wire there..I am just curious as to why the orange wire is not getting power to motor
