Customer Question

Dear *****,
We have a project (modular building) it is being fabricated in Tianjin, China but will be shipped and installed in Abu Dhabi. So the design temperature is suitable for warm country. Now the Air Handling Units and ACCUs are installed at the roof. Next week the temperature gonna drop to 14 F (currently it is 34 deg F). My specific question is how the compressor's oil gonna be affected, any idea to protect the units. Please note that the refrigerant R-134a is not filled yet. The AHU coils is preserved with Nitrogen.
Thanks,
Constantin

The oil will not be effected by the low temperature. That is not a low temp for the equipment to operate. When charging equipment make sure you apply power to outside unit for at least 24 hours. If it does not have a heater directly on bottom of compressor it will have a circuit inside compressor that will heat the oil. Do this and you will have no problems. Russ
