I'm trying to hook up a general aire(power)humidifier to my

I'm trying to hook up a general aire(power)humidifier to my furnace. But I have neither a current sensing relay or a rib. I do have a separate transformer I can use.
I tried this and the humidifier came on wether the furnace was calling or not and the humid. Blower sounded not right....
120 to outlet
No on humidistat to w on terminal strip
Common on humidistat to solenoid
Solenoid to R
Also tried taking 24 off pressure switch and same...

hi i am dan i can help you with this. does the humidifier use the 120 for the fan? are you using a humidistat?

Normally open on humidistat to w terminal on furnace
Common on humidistat to solenoid
Solenoid to R terminal
