I have a White Rodgers turned off and change the batteries. Now, the room temperature is stuck at 69 degrees even though it's indicating that it is 70 degrees. How will I adjust the temperature?
Optional Information:
Type of HVAC: Air Conditioner
Brand: White Rodgers
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Does the unit respond to any key inputs?Yes but not for the temperature in the room.
But what doesn't work is the reading for the room temperature.
It shows incorrect. Last night it was like 69 degrees and I cannot program it correctly.

Hello, make sure that you have the batteries in correctly + and - polarity as marked on the batteries and inside the battery compartment on the thermostat.

Then try it again.

If that fails, and the batteries were actually in correctly, remove them and put them deliberately in backwards, wait 5 minutes, then reinstall the batteries correctly.

Let me know how all that goes, we can proceed from there without a time limit.
