Carrier HVAC unit thermostat has lost power - had lots of rain lately, unit not compromised by water, just has lost display; is there a switch or breaker outside with unit that could have caused this. no breakers are tripped in panel box!

Hello, the things that can cause this = a short blew a 24v fuse in the indoor unit..even though damage could be outside...

The unit is off inside

The unit has a drain water safety switch at the air handler/blower that is tripped due to plugged drain

Bad thermostat

Does furnace have any light or sound?
