My thermostat keeps shutting off and then seems to come back

Customer Question

My thermostat keeps shutting off and then seems to come back on sporadically for cooling. It says the temp in my home is 84 and I have the thermostat at 74 but it does not come on and says it is on hold. How do I take it off hold? It may have been set up by the prior home owner but I do not want it programmed to come on and off. I want to change it at my leisure. HELP!!

Here is a link to the manual, page 14 will show you how to do a permanent override if you just want to keep it at a temp or change it periodically.

I already had the manual so that was no help at all.

If it is not working and the programming is not working to hold a temp the thermostat is bad and you would just need to replace it.
